This approach makes it possible to join forces of each project (Chromium, SVG/HTML5, PHP, Lua, SQLite, Inkscape, Lib61850, OpenDNP3, Nginx, Vega, PostgreSQL, Grafana,…) to achieve a great set of open, evergreen, modular and customizable tools for building great HMIs for automation projects. LuaXLL is a lightweight Lua interpreter built into a Excel XLL. The XLL has extensions built into it which allow new Excel functions to be defined in a Lua script and exposed to the main application with the XLL marshalling data across the environments. Its primary use is for rapid modelling and development. And it could also serve as an interface to more advanced models built in C. It has built-in support for ODBC databases (via LuaSQL) and some generic modeling functions (added as I need them). The entire XLL is currently less than 600KB.

Pear3DEngine is a modern and modular 3D development framework that lets you create professional games, simulations and more. You are free to develop your program in C + +, XML or LUA and publish it as open source software or selling it as a commercial program. The rendering engine uses internally OpenGL or DirectX optionally. The planned editor supports software development on Linux, Windows and maybe MacOS X. DirectX 9 and therefore Windows XP are currently not supported and support is not planned in the future. One goal of the Pear3DEngine Framework is to use the latest and most promising algorithms and techniques from the 3D and IT scene.
