ACME is a free cross assembler released under the GNU GPL. It can produce code for the following processors: 6502, 6510 (including illegal opcodes), 65c02 and 65816. ACME supports the standard assembler stuff like global/local/anonymous labels, offset assembly, conditional assembly and looping assembly. Win32 hosted tools to cross compile to DJGPP v2 (CWSDPMI) for MS-DOS. The primary reason is to be able to cross compile Allegro 3.12 using GCC 2.7.2.3 & Binutils 2.8.1. Later versions of GCC / Binutils are unable to build Allegro which leads to people either compiling on DOSBox which is incredibly slow, or just giving up all together. So party like it's 1996!
