Hippo CMS is a Java based, Open Source Web Content Management platform. Hippo CMS uses a clean, modular architecture with an emphasis on the separation of the content from the presentation logic. This enables content editors to create content once, and then publish it to regular web sites, mobile sites, Facebook, REST APIs, digital magazines, mobile apps, and so on. Under the hood, Hippo CMS supports many open standards such as JCR and REST to simplify development and integrations with existing systems. Next to creating and editing content, Hippo CMS enables webmasters to create new channels or configure existing page templates using its channel manager and template composer. Using the Relevance Module, specific content can be targeted at specific visitors based on the visitor’s current context, past personal history and matching personas created by the marketing team.

This project contains security patches (binaries) for different versions of Liferay community, which are no more developed as newer versions are released. Apart from the security patches, some of the binaries include additional fixes for the issues raised at https://issues.liferay.com/ (Liferay Issue Tracking System). Please note, that this is not an official Liferay repository. The patches were kindly provided by the Liferay Community Security team members, which was compiled and released here. Source code for the security fixes can be found at https://github.com/community-security-team/liferay-portal In addition, we recommend using Liferay DXP for official product support, faster delivery of patches and updates baked by Liferay Team itself.

This project is a result of my tries to port Liferay portal Community Edition to Virgo. I have done this work in the research purpose to analyze an ability of development a serious mass enterprise system on very perspective and great Virgo platform couple with the most powerful open source portal Liferay. My theoretical research has pointed these two product like the most perspective flexible and multi functional solutions matching my aims very well. But practically Virgo has turned out inapplicable for my tasks for a lot of different reasons (low performance, inconvenient migration process, poor environment, not enough functionality of tools, low robust, poor documentation and etc.) If someone want to know in details I can formalize everything on the forum by a request.
