    Docker Pi-hole

    Docker Pi-hole

    Pi-hole in a docker container

You can run Pi-hole in a container, or deploy it directly to a supported operating system via our automated installer. Our intelligent, automated installer asks you a few questions and then sets everything up for you. Once complete, move onto step 3. Configure your router’s DHCP options to force clients to use Pi-hole as their DNS server, or manually configure each device to use the Pi-hole as their DNS server. By pairing your Pi-hole with a VPN, you can have ad blocking on your cellular devices, helping with limited bandwidth data plans. Instead of browser plugins or other software on each computer, install Pi-hole in one place and your entire network is protected. Network-level blocking allows you to block ads in non-traditional places such as mobile apps and smart TVs, regardless of hardware or OS. Since advertisements are blocked before they are downloaded, network performance is improved and will feel faster.

    Kueue

    Kueue

    Kubernetes-native Job Queueing

Kueue is a set of APIs and controllers for job queueing. It is a job-level manager that decides when a job should be admitted to start (as in pods can be created) and when it should stop (as in active pods should be deleted). Use Kueue to build a multi-tenant batch service with quotas and a hierarchy for sharing resources among teams in your organization. Based on the available quotas, Kueue decides when jobs should wait and when and where they should run. Kueue works in combination with standard kube-scheduler, cluster-autoscaler, and the rest of the Kubernetes ecosystem. This combination allows Kueue to run both on-prem and in the cloud, where resources can be heterogeneous, fungible, and dynamically provisioned.

    Strimzi

    Strimzi

    Apache Kafka® running on Kubernetes

Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes in various deployment configurations. Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes in various deployment configurations. For development, it’s easy to set up a cluster in Minikube in a few minutes. For production you can tailor the cluster to your needs, using features such as rack awareness to spread brokers across availability zones, and Kubernetes taints and tolerations to run Kafka on dedicated nodes. You can expose Kafka outside Kubernetes using NodePort, Load balancer, Ingress and OpenShift Routes, depending on your needs, and these are easily secured using TLS. The Kube-native management of Kafka is not limited to the broker. You can also manage Kafka topics, users, Kafka MirrorMaker and Kafka Connect using Custom Resources. This means you can use your familiar Kubernetes processes and tooling to manage complete Kafka applications.

    Sysbox

    Sysbox

Open-source, next-generation "runc" that empowers rootless containers

An open-source, next-generation "runc" that empowers rootless containers to run workloads such as Systemd, Docker, and Kubernetes, just like VMs. Think of it as a "container supercharger": it enables your existing container managers/orchestrators (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) to deploy containers that have hardened isolation and can run almost any workload that runs in VMs. Sysbox does this by making the container resemble a VM-like environment as much as possible, using advanced OS virtualization techniques. Unlike alternative runtimes such as Kata and KubeVirt, it does not use VMs. This makes it easier to use (particularly in cloud environments by avoiding nested virtualization), although it does not provide the level of isolation that VM-based runtimes do.

    Actions Runner Controller (ARC)

    Actions Runner Controller (ARC)

Kubernetes controller for GitHub Actions self-hosted runners

Actions Runner Controller (ARC) is a Kubernetes operator that orchestrates and scales self-hosted runners for GitHub Actions. With ARC, you can create runner scale sets that automatically scale based on the number of workflows running in your repository, organization, or enterprise. Because controlled runners can be ephemeral and based on containers, new runner instances can scale up or down rapidly and cleanly. You can set up ARC on Kubernetes using Helm, then create and run a workflow that uses runner scale sets.

    Artifact Hub

    Artifact Hub

Find, install and publish Kubernetes packages

Artifact Hub is a web-based application that enables finding, installing, and publishing packages and configurations for CNCF projects. Discovering artifacts to use with CNCF projects can be difficult. If every CNCF project that needs to share artifacts creates its own Hub this creates a fair amount of repeat work for each project and a fractured experience for those trying to find the artifacts to consume. The Artifact Hub attempts to solve that by providing a single experience for consumers that any CNCF project can leverage.

The Azure Container Service Engine (acs-engine) generates ARM (Azure Resource Manager) templates for Docker enabled clusters on Microsoft Azure with your choice of DC/OS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Swarm Mode, or Swarm orchestrators. The input to the tool is a cluster definition. The cluster definition (or apimodel) is very similar to (in many cases the same as) the ARM template syntax used to deploy a Microsoft Azure Container Service cluster.
