    Pyrra

    Pyrra

Making SLOs with Prometheus manageable, accessible, and easy to use

Making SLOs with Prometheus manageable, accessible, and easy to use for everyone. When running Pyrra outside of Kubernetes, the SLO object can be provided through a YAML file read from the file system. For this, one container or binary needs to be started with the API argument and the reconciler with the filesystem argument. Here, Pyrra will save the generated recording rules to disk where they can be picked up by a Prometheus instance.

    cri-dockerd

    cri-dockerd

dockerd as a compliant Container Runtime Interface for Kubernetes

This adapter provides a shim for Docker Engine that lets you control Docker via the Kubernetes Container Runtime Interface. Mirantis and Docker have agreed to partner to maintain the shim code standalone outside Kubernetes, as a conformant CRI interface for the Docker Engine API. For Mirantis customers, that means that Docker Engine’s commercially supported version, Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR), will be CRI compliant. This means that you can continue to build Kubernetes based on the...

    PaaSTA

    PaaSTA

An open, distributed platform as a service

PaaSTA is a highly-available, distributed system for building, deploying, and running services using containers and Kubernetes. PaaSTA has been running production services at Yelp since 2016. It was originally designed to run on top of Apache Mesos but has subsequently been updated to use Kubernetes. Over time the features and functionality that PaaSTA provides have increased but the principal design remains the same. PaaSTA aims to take a declarative description of the services that teams need to run and then ensures that those services are deployed safely, efficiently, and in a manner that is easy for the teams to maintain. ...

    youki

    youki

A container runtime written in Rust

...Rust is one of the best languages to implement the oci-runtime spec. Many very nice container tools are currently written in Go. However, the container runtime requires the use of system calls, which requires a bit of special handling when implemented in Go. This is too tricky (e.g. namespaces(7), fork(2)); with Rust, it's not that tricky. And, unlike in C, Rust provides the benefit of memory safety. While Rust is not yet a major player in the container field, it has the potential to contribute a lot: something this project attempts to exemplify. youki has the potential to be faster and use less memory than runc, and therefore works in environments with tight memory usage requirements. ...

CLI and validation tools for Kubelet Container Runtime Interface (CRI). cri-tools aims to provide a series of debugging and validation tools for Kubelet CRI. It's recommended to use the same cri-tools and Kubernetes minor version, because new features added to the Container Runtime Interface (CRI) may not be fully supported if they diverge. cri-tools follows the Kubernetes release cycles with respect to its minor versions (1.x.y). Testcontainers for PHP

    Testcontainers for PHP

    Implementation for PHP

Testcontainers is a PHP package that makes it simple to create and clean up container-based dependencies for automated integration/smoke tests. The package is inspired by the Testcontainers project for Java. Use a containerized instance of your database to test your data access layer code for complete compatibility, without requiring a complex setup on developer machines. Trust that your tests will always start with a known state. Use containerized web browsers, compatible with Selenium, to run automated UI tests. Each test gets a fresh, clean instance of the browser, without having to worry about variations in plugins or required updates. ...

    Kong Ingress Controller Kubernetes (KIC)

    Kong Ingress Controller Kubernetes (KIC)

Kong for Kubernetes: The official Ingress Controller for Kubernetes

Kong Ingress Controller allows you to run Kong Gateway as a Kubernetes Ingress to handle inbound requests for a Kubernetes cluster. Kong Ingress Controller takes Kubernetes resources such as Ingress and HTTPRoute and converts them into a valid Kong Gateway configuration. It enables you to use all the features of Kong Gateway. A Kubernetes ingress controller is an application that runs in a cluster and configures a load balancer based on Kubernetes resources (Ingress, HTTPRoute, TCPRoute, and more). Kong Ingress Controller configures Kong Gateway as a software load balancer that runs in the cluster and is typically exposed as a LoadBalancer service. ...

...Sysbox does this by making the container resemble a VM-like environment as much as possible, using advanced OS virtualization techniques. Unlike alternative runtimes such as Kata and KubeVirt, it does not use VMs. This makes it easier to use (particularly in cloud environments by avoiding nested virtualization), although it does not provide the level of isolation that VM-based runtimes do.
