Source is available and open so both the runner and tools can be modified to fit the needs or style for each adventure/creator. -

Necros Cavern is a free open source puzzle / adventure game playable just about anywhere it will compile. 32-bit Windows and Linux binaries are provided, though it should also compile and run under DOS or BSD. In each level you'll be presented with a number of treasures, monsters and even a few traps. Starting from the left hand side of the screen, you need to navigate around both the monsters and the traps in order to reach a Chalice found at the far right of the level.
