Sylverant is an open-source server for the Phantasy Star Online series of games by Sega, written primarily for Unix-like operating systems. Sylverant has at least partial support for most versions of Phantasy Star Online, from the Network Trial for the Dreamcast through Blue Burst for Windows.

Play the popular card game Mau Mau (similar to UNO®) against the computer or over the network with your friends. It consists of a highly configurable stand-alone server and a client based on Qt4/5. The client's development is now ceased and in search of a new maintainer, transforming it from a worse and annoying showstopper to a usable and fun to play one. Minihack is a small and minimalistic text-based hack 'n slash RPG written in C. It is inspired by both roguelike games and interactive fiction and tries to blend them into a single, replayable adventure. For example, it has randomized game world, handful of playable character classes with unique abilities and a lot of dying, but character is controlled with one-word parser instead of mysterious key combinations to make the learning curve less steep.

Kingdom Wars is a client/server chess daemon designed to run on multiple operating platforms. Both the client and the server are stand alone. The network protocal is open, and custom clients are welcome to be developed.
