eduActiv8 is a free Open Source multi-platform educational application that aims to assist in learning various early education topics - from learning the alphabet and new words, colours, time to a wide range of maths-related subjects. eduActiv8 is a continuation of the development of the pySioGame project just under a new name. It is being developed on GitHub at: https://github.com/imiolek-ireneusz/eduActiv8 but 'compiled' releases are published here.

LEGADEE (LEarning GAme DEsign Environment) is a free authoring environment that helps game designers and teachers design Learning Games that are fun and educational. This open source environment was designed and developed in 2012, during Iza Marfisi-Schottman's doctorate at the LIRIS lab in France, directed by Franck Tarpin-Bernard and Sébastien George.

This project was designed for a reserach conducted in the area of mobile science inqiury using ontologies. This mobile web application 'ThinknLearn' uses ontology-based scaffolding to implement NCEA level 1science standard curriculum example as an experimental context. In this application, ontologies are designed using Protege 4.0 while Jena API and Pellet reasoner are used in the technical architecture of this application for extracting relevant information according to the requirements.
