Open Source Solaris Compilers

A 32/64/16-bit Pascal compiler for Win32/64/CE, Linux, Mac OS X/iOS, Android, FreeBSD, OS/2, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo NDS and DOS; semantically compatible with Delphi, Borland Pascal and Mac Pascal (partially) with extra features, e.g. operator overloading.

SDCC is a retargettable, optimizing standard C (ANSI C89 / ISO C90, ISO C99, ISO C11 / C17, ISO C23, ISO C2y) compiler that targets a growing list of architectures: STM8, MCS-51, DS390, HC08, S08, 6502, 65C02, Z80, Z80N, Z180, Rabbit, SM83, TLCS-90, eZ80, R800, Padauk PDK14 and PDK15 microprocessors. There also is incomplete support for the Microchip PIC16 and PIC18 and the Padauk PDK13.

tmux is a terminal multiplexer: it enables a number of terminals to be created, accessed, and controlled from a single screen. tmux may be detached from a screen and continue running in the background, then later reattached. This release runs on OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Linux, OS X and Solaris. tmux depends on libevent 2.x, and on ncurses. To build tmux, a C compiler (for example gcc or clang), make, pkg-config and a suitable yacc (yacc or bison) are needed. Some platforms provide binary packages for tmux.

PyInstaller is a program that converts (packages) Python programs into stand-alone executables, under Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, AIX and Solaris. Its main advantages over similar tools are that PyInstaller works with any version of Python since 2.3, it builds smaller executables thanks to transparent compression, it is fully multi-platform, and uses the OS support to load the dynamic libraries, thus ensuring full compatibility. The main goal of PyInstaller is to be compatible with 3rd-party packages out-of-the-box. This means that, with PyInstaller, all the required tricks to make external packages work are already integrated within PyInstaller itself so that there is no user intervention required. You'll never be required to look for tricks in wikis and apply custom modification to your files or your setup scripts. As an example, libraries like PyQt, Django or matplotlib are fully supported, without having to handle plugins or external data files manually.

The goal of this project is to provide a generator for lexical analyzers of maximum computational efficiency and maximum range of applications. This includes the support for Unicode (UTF8, UTF16, ...) and a large variety of other encodings directly and via nested converters such as ICU(tm) and IConv. Sophisticated buffer handling allows to operate on plain file streams, on sockets, or manually fed buffer content. 'Ready-to-build' examples explain related concepts and facilitate practical applications.

z390 Portable Mainframe Assembler and Emulator

The ECLiPSe Constraint Logic Programming System is designed for solving combinatorial optimization problems, for the development of new constraint solver technology and their hybrids, and for the teaching of modelling, solving and search techniques.

This project currently provides the GNAT Studio Ada development environment, packaged for macOS. The MDK provides a simulator of D. Knuth's MIX computer, and a development environment to write, run and debug MIXAL programs on it.

Ox is an attribute grammar compiling system that augments Lex and Yacc specifications with definitions of synthesized and inherited attributes written in a combination of Ox and C/C++ syntax. From these augmented specifications, Ox generates ordinary Lex and Yacc specifications that build and decorate attributed parse trees. The user can specify parse-tree traversals for easy ordering of side effects such as code generation. Ox handles the tedious and error-prone details of writing code for parse-tree management, so its use eases problems of security and maintainability associated with that aspect of translator development.

LLVM is a unique compiler infrastructure designed for the optimization of programs from arbitrary programming languages. Compilation in C and C++ programs is supported using a parser based on GCC 3.4. Backends exist for X86, Sparc, PowerPC and "C".

The goal of the Fortran-to-Java project is to provide Java Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to numerical libraries originally written in Fortran (particularly BLAS and LAPACK). The result of this work, JLAPACK, is distributed here.

A comprehensive CORBA IDL test suite. Used to test any CORBA IDL compiler that is compliant with at least the CORBA 2.3 specification. Includes scripts to run the tests with OpenORB, ORBacus, Orbix and VisiBroker, but can be extended to test any ORB

DBOW is a database compiler-compiler or front-end. It takes table definitions in a relatively high-level language and prepares C, C++, PHP, Perl (etc) functions for manipulating the database. It will also produce SQL table data for MySQL.

ECL is a system-level specification language for HW/SW designs and is based on Esterel and C. The ECL compiler parses ECL, writes Esterel and C, and uses the Esterel compiler to produce an implementation. Originally developed at Cadence Berkeley Labs.

EuLib is a C library implementing the embeddable language "Calc" and some abstract data types like lists, trees, b-trees and date/time management functions. Initially developed by Eurosoft Informatica Medica for it's own internal use, it's now LGPL.
