Opal is a Ruby to JavaScript source-to-source compiler. It comes packed with the Ruby corelib you know and love. It is both fast as a runtime and small in its footprint. The lib directory holds the Opal parser/compiler used to compile Ruby into JavaScript. It is also built ready for the browser into opal-parser.js to allow compilation in any JavaScript environment. This directory holds the Opal runtime and corelib implemented in Ruby and JavaScript. opal-parser allows you to eval Ruby code directly from your HTML (and from Opal) files without needing any other building process. Opal.compile is a simple interface to just compile a string of Ruby into a string of JavaScript code. I provide here the full source code and a Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Solution File. The code includes the C++ Library and a demo driver application that constructs a computer program using OpenBlocks and displays it using OpenGL.

PAS2PHP will translate a large subset of Object Pascal to PHP, allowing you to write web applications using Lazarus/FreePascal, and then run the application on a standard HTML/PHP server. Over the last week, a lot of work has gone into PAS2PHP. Most of the major issues are resolved. There are still a number of incompatibilities which are either not fixable, or have simple workarounds. As of v0.5, you should be able to write entire PHP applications in Pascal. The key to coding for PAS2PHP is to understand the limitations of PHP. Read the example code provided, and always check the outputed PHP code to understand how this works. As a guide to what PAS2PHP can achieve... my web site is written in Pascal, and then converted to PHP. (The code is in the source package). PAS2PHP uses the Pascal Parse Tree Classes (PasTree) which comes with FreePascal, and therefore the parsing limits are defined by this library.

PHDL is an HDL that functions as an alternative to mainstream graphical schematic capture tools. The language is compiled into a pcb netlist which can then be imported into a layout tool. We are currently on version 2.1 of the tool. We have created an eclipse plugin version of the tool as well as a standalone command-line based version. Both function identically and output a netlist that can be imported into a pcb layout tool. VHDL revolutionized how FPGA designs and digital logic circuits have been designed and captured and overcame many of the difficulties associated with the use of schematic editing tools. We believe the use of an HDL is also the way of the future when it comes to PCB design. The PHDL compiler automatically supports the output of PADS and Eagle netlists, and through extending a simple java class, users can generate a netlist in practically any format required by their choice of a layout tool.

PacLang is a language for programming Network Processors. It aims to make it easy to write high performance networking applications that are portable across a range of target platforms.

Julia is, in general, a "just-barely-ahead-of-time" compiled language. When you call a function for the first time, Julia compiles it for precisely the types of arguments given. This can take some time. All subsequent calls within that same session use this fast compiled function, but if you restart Julia you lose all the compiled work. PackageCompiler allows you to do this work upfront — further ahead of time — and store the results for a lower latency startup. You can save loaded packages and compiled functions into a file (called a sysimage) that you pass to Julia upon startup. Typically the goal is to reduce latency on your machine; for example, you could load the packages and compile the functions used in common plotting workflows using that saved image by default. In general, sysimages are not relocatable to other machines; they'll only work on the machine they were created on.
