    FernFlower

    FernFlower

Decompiler from Java bytecode to Java, used in IntelliJ IDEA

Fernflower is an open-source Java decompiler originally developed by JetBrains that takes compiled Java bytecode and reconstructs readable source code, helping developers understand, debug, and recover lost Java code from .class files. It works by analyzing the structure of bytecode and inferring higher-level constructs like loops, conditionals, generics, and exception handling to produce Java source that is as close as possible to what a human would have written, making it useful for both reverse engineering and educational purposes. Fernflower is integrated into popular Java IDEs and tools where decompilation is needed, and its robust analysis handles a wide range of language features introduced across multiple Java versions. ...

    Seed7

Interpreter and compiler for the Seed7 programming language.

...It is a higher level language compared to Ada, C/C++ and Java. In Seed7 new statements and operators can be declared easily. Functions with type results and type parameters are more elegant than a template or generics concept. Object orientation is used where it brings advantages and not in places where other solutions are more obvious. Seed7 spares no effort to support portable programming. Several driver libraries assure that the access to operating system resources such as files, directories, network, clock, keyboard, console and graphics are done in a portable way. ...

    cowbel (obsolete)

    An experimental programming language

cowbel is a minimalist experimental programming language. It features strict types, static compilation into real machine code (via C), an object oriented system based on interfaces and composition, generics, no null, and a global garbage collector. It is intended to produce fast, tight code for use in systems programming, and to show that you don't need a complex language to be expressive and usable. We've moved! Advanced Symbolic Instruction Language

A 21st century programming language derived from BASIC

If the words "Symbolic Instruction" in the name sound familiar, they should. ASIL (pronounced "a-sill") was largely inspired by BASIC. However, instead of starting with a modern verison of BASIC, I started with AppleSoft. Why? Well, ASIL was born in the early 1990s while I was in college. I knew AppleSoft quite well as it was my first programming language. ASIL nearly died then as the compiler technology wasn't up to the job. Now, I figure those compilers might be able to do the job. ...
