    koka

    koka

    Koka language compiler and interpreter

...The core of Koka consists of a small set of well-studied language features, like first-class functions, a polymorphic type- and effect system, algebraic data types, and effect handlers. Each of these is composable and avoid the addition of “special” extensions by being as general as possible. Koka tracks the (side) effects of every function in its type, where pure and effectful computations are distinguished. The precise effect typing gives Koka rock-solid semantics backed by well-studied category theory, which makes Koka particularly easy to reason about for both humans and compilers. Effect handlers let you define advanced control abstractions, like exceptions, async/await, or probabilistic programs, as a user library in a typed and composable way. ...

    Pybris

    Pybris

B language compiler written in Python targeting RISVM

Pybris is a compiler written in Python using Pyparsing for the B Programming Language. The compiler emits a variant of Bitmario RISVM assembly. The practical goal of the project is to provide a way to develop digital signal processing (DSP) effects for the Competent Audio library that is a friendlier alternative to writing RISVM assembly by hand. Pybris is written for Python 2.7, but has also been tested to run with Python 3.8.10.

    Ox: Attribute Grammar Compiling System

    Ox: Attribute Grammar Compiling System

Ox is an attribute-grammar evaluator generator.

...From these augmented specifications, Ox generates ordinary Lex and Yacc specifications that build and decorate attributed parse trees. The user can specify parse-tree traversals for easy ordering of side effects such as code generation. Ox handles the tedious and error-prone details of writing code for parse-tree management, so its use eases problems of security and maintainability associated with that aspect of translator development.
