The libptpmgmt Project provides a library to communicate with LinuxPTP using IEEE 1558 management messages over a network.

Note: The project has moved to https://github.com/pyhys/minimalmodbus The files available here are very old, download from Github instead. MinimalModbus is an easy-to-use Python module for talking to instruments (slaves) from a computer (master) using the Modbus protocol, and is intended to be running on the master. Example code includes drivers for Eurotherm and Omega process controllers. The only dependence is the pySerial module (also pure Python). This software supports the ‘Modbus RTU’ and ‘Modbus ASCII’ serial communication versions of the protocol, and is intended for use on Linux, OS X and Windows platforms. It is open source, and has the Apache License, Version 2.0.

CheckMails periodically looks for unread mails and displays the total number of unread mails in the system tray icon. Several mailboxes can be configured. The number of unread mails for each mailbox is detailed in a notification that appears when clicking on the icon and after a check. This application supports only IMAP protocol with SSL encryption. The connection information for each mailbox is stored in an encrypted file using a master password.

JAVT or Just Another Voice Transformer (formerly, it is called Just Another Video Transcriber) is a Speech Recognition software that also support text to Speech and simple media conversion. MailSort is a utility designed to sort emails in Microsoft Outlook into folders automatically.
