    FTP News Wire Downloader was built to pull in stories from subscription news wire services. The intended audience is television stations and other news consumers. However, it could be used to bring in local copies of anything on FTP sites. It polls, compares the FTP site contents with what it already downloaded, brings in anything new and forgets about anything no longer on the site. No subdirectories at this time. That could be implemented.
