    Paperboy

    Paperboy

a small .pdf management tool with a command-line UI

...It will offer to rename and move files to a specified folder, and it even gives some filename suggestions by looking at the content and the pdf metadata. Paperboy keeps its file management dumb on purpose (no keeping files in a database or hidden library folder), so you can uninstall it at any time and your files will remain perfectly accessible. Any pointers or help with regards to generate .deb, .rpm, AUR PKGBUILD, etc is appreciated. Ideally this could be mostly automated in CI, in the end Paperboy is just a single binary with a dependency or two. How do other packages do it? If you got a good example or link, open a GitHub issue! ...

    m6811dis

    m6811dis

    M6811 Code-Seeking Disassembler

...It was later rewritten to C++ in July 1999 through Jan 2000. While it's been freely available since its creation, it's being released here as an open-source project so the world can better use it as it sees fit. Version 2.0 is completely reworked in 2014 to compile and run with GCC and STL to make it fully portable and accessible to all computer platforms.

    pcp - Peer Copy

    pcp - Peer Copy

Command line peer-to-peer data transfer tool based on libp2p

Command line peer-to-peer data transfer tool based on libp2p. There already exists a long list of file transfer tools, so why bother building another one? The problem I had with the existing tools is that they rely on a limited set of servers to orchestrate peer matching and data relaying which poses a centralization concern. Many of the usual centralization vs. decentralization arguments apply here, e.g. the servers are single points of failure, the service operator has the power over whom to serve and whom not, etc. ...

    PlaystoreDownloader

    PlaystoreDownloader

A command line tool to download Android applications

...There are two ways of getting a working copy of PlaystoreDownloader on your own computer: either by using Docker or by using directly the source code in a Python 3 environment. In both cases, the first thing to do is to get a local copy of this repository, so open up a terminal in the directory where you want to save the project and clone the repository. Apart from valid Google Play Store credentials, the only requirement of this project is a working Python 3 (at least 3.7) installation and pipenv (for dependency management).

    Neural Networks Collection

    Neural Networks Collection

    Neural Networks Collection

This project implements in C++ a bunch of known Neural Networks. So far the project implements: LVQ in several variants, SOM in several variants, Hopfield network and Perceptron. Other neural network types are planned, but not implemented yet. The project can run in two modes: command line tool and Python 7.2 extension. Currently, Python version appears more functional, as it allows easy interaction with algorithms developed by other people.

    Skicka

    Skicka

Command-line utility for working with Google Drive

...It handles uploads, downloads, and synchronization while mapping Drive’s IDs and folder hierarchy into a predictable local view. The utility focuses on resilience and correctness: it tracks checksums, resumable transfers, and modification times so large operations can be paused and resumed safely. Because it’s written as a single, portable binary, skicka drops neatly into CI jobs, cron tasks, or container images without extra dependencies. It supports partial trees and ignore patterns, making it easy to back up only what you need or mirror specific project directories. Thoughtful defaults and clear diagnostics help prevent accidental overwrites while keeping common tasks to a single command.

    create-react-library

    create-react-library

CLI for creating reusable react libraries

create-react-library is a command-line tool that scaffolds out a boilerplate for building reusable React component libraries. Instead of repeatedly setting up build configs, bundling, testing, linting, and publishing scaffolding, this tool gives you a ready-to-go structure so you can focus on writing your components. The scaffold includes configuration for bundling, building, and publishing; typical build setups (e.g. bundler, transpilation) are preconfigured, likely with support for modern JavaScript/TypeScript, testing frameworks, and packaging standards (e.g. publishing to npm). This accelerates the development of shared UI components or generic React modules that can be reused across projects. ...

    Semantic

Parsing, analyzing, and comparing source code across many languages

...This is the format that github.com uses to generate code navigation information allowing c-tags style lookup of symbolic names for fast, incremental navigation in all the supported languages. The incremental part is important because files change often so we want to be able to parse just what's changed and not have to analyze the entire project again.

    turtle

    turtle

    Shell programming, Haskell style

Turtle is a reimplementation of the Unix command line environment in Haskell so that you can use Haskell as a scripting language or a shell. Think of turtle as coreutils embedded within the Haskell language. The turtle library focuses on being a "better Bash" by providing a typed and light-weight shell scripting experience embedded within the Haskell language. If you have a large shell script that is difficult to maintain, consider translating it to a "turtle script" (i.e. a Haskell script using the turtle library). ...

    bashful

    bashful

Use a yaml file to stitch together commands and bash snippits

bashful is a command-line tool written in Go that allows you to define your build, automation or scripting workflow declaratively in YAML and have tasks executed in either series or parallel, with pretty progress output, logging, error handling, and orchestration instead of manually writing large bash scripts. The idea is that your bash automation should be “quiet and shy-like” rather than verbose and messy, so bashful provides a structured way to describe tasks (commands, downloads, nested operations) in a YAML file, and then run them with a nice terminal UI showing progress bars, logs, ETAs, etc. It supports features such as downloading scripts, bundling sets of commands and resources, tagging tasks, running subsets via tags, logging both stdout and stderr, and error-handling policies (e.g., which commands should halt execution on failure). ...

v1pad is a command-line tool that encrypts and decrypts files using one-time-pad encryption. v1pad uses a virtual pad, meaning that the one-time pad is generated dynamically based on user input instead of being stored in a file. The name v1pad is an abbreviation for Virtual One-Time Pad.

    ssh-pull-id

pulls ssh-id from a host instead of pushing to a host

...the tool was made with Ubuntu Touch in mind, because its default ssh config is such, that ssh-copy-id won't work. this is because Ubuntu Touch device does not accept ssh client with password authentication, but only with public key based authentication. and copy-ssh-id itself uses password authentication to connect first, then push public key to the remote host, so that later key based authentication can be used instead. ssh-pull-id will reverse the direction, now you use the tool to pull another host's public key. the typical scenario it was created for, is when you use it on Ubuntu Touch device, and pull is made from another host which allows password based authentication.

    PingPongPro

Find ping-pong signatures like a pro

...Please refer to: https://github.com/suhrig/pingpongpro Piwi-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs, predominantly active in the germ line. There, they limit the detrimental effect of transposons on the genome. They do so by forming a complex with Piwi proteins. The complex binds and then cleaves mRNA molecules of active transposons. The resulting mRNA fragments induce the production of more piRNAs, thus reinforcing the anti-transposon response in a feed-forward loop called the "ping-pong cycle". A key question in ping-pong cycle research is identification of piRNAs which are amplified through the cycle. ...

    DR14 T.meter

    DR14 T.meter

Compute the DR14 of a given audio file according to the procedure desc

...This tool is very useful to measure how is loud your music and for understanding that a good quality album always has also a good dynamic, and it's also useful for understanding the effects of the so called loudness war. Dr14 t.meter is released under the terms of the GNU GPLv3 license and is intended for the Linux users that can not use the Windows application released by the Pleasurize Music Foundation or the plugin for Foobar2000. I've largely tested this application and it has always returned results identical to those of the official off-line meter.

    lsdup

    List files with duplicate contents

...Unlike many file deduplication tools, this has a "comparison mode" which lets you tell lsdup to "only read the files in this directory, do not consider any for duplicates... but, the files in that other directory may have duplicates, so delete (or move) any of those." lsdup also has normal deduplication, where, if given a single directory, it will sort the originals from the duplicates. lsdup works by first looking through all of the directories you specified, and creates a text file which contains all of the "originals" and "duplicates". You can look through and modify the list in your favorite text editor. ...
