    reg

Docker registry v2 command line client and repo listing generator

Docker registry v2 command line client and repo listing generator with security checks. We do not allow users to pass all the custom certificate flags on commands because it is unnecessarily messy and can be handled through Linux itself. Which we believe is a better user experience than having to pass three different flags just to communicate with a registry using self-signed or private certificates.

Intuitive find & replace CLI (sed alternative)

sd is an intuitive find-and-replace CLI. Painless regular expressions. sd uses regex syntax that you already know from JavaScript and Python. Forget about dealing with quirks of sed or awk - get productive immediately. Non-regex find & replace. No more backslashes or remembering which characters are special and need to be escaped. simple-modern-uv

    simple-modern-uv

A minimal, modern Python project template

simple-modern-uv is a minimal yet production-ready Python project template that uses the uv toolchain to streamline dependency management, virtualenvs, and packaging. It aims to be “small but serious,” giving you the essentials—testing, linting, type checking, formatting, GitHub Actions—without burying you in boilerplate. The layout is opinionated around a pyproject.toml so configuration is centralized and easy to inspect. Defaults encourage good hygiene from day one, including reproducible builds and a clean release workflow to PyPI. Because the template is intentionally compact, it’s easy to understand and customize for libraries, CLIs, or small services. It’s a fast way to start new Python projects with modern tooling and guardrails already in place.

    yamlfmt

    yamlfmt

An extensible command line tool or library to format yaml files

yamlfmt is an extensible formatter that makes YAML files consistent and easy to read across large repositories. It focuses on practical concerns unique to YAML—multi-document streams, anchors and aliases, comments, and block scalars—so a reformat doesn’t destroy semantics or helpful annotations. The tool ships as a single, distributable binary and can also be used as a library, making it simple to drop into CI and editor workflows. Configuration is file-based, allowing teams to pin indentation, line wrapping, and other house-style choices repo-wide. By normalizing structure while preserving meaning, it reduces diff noise and merge friction in configs, Kubernetes manifests, and automation playbooks. The project is intentionally extensible, so organizations can add custom formatters or rules without forking.

    Ansible-lint

    Ansible-lint

    Best practices checker for Ansible

Ansible Lint is a command-line tool for linting playbooks, roles and collections aimed towards any Ansible users. Its main goal is to promote proven practices, patterns and behaviors while avoiding common pitfalls that can easily lead to bugs or make code harder to maintain. Ansible lint is also supposed to help users upgrade their code to work with newer versions of Ansible. Due to this reason we recommend using it with the newest version of Ansible, even if the version used in production may be older. As any other linter, it is opinionated. Still, its rules are the result of community contributions and they can always be disabled based individually or by category by each user. ansible-lint checks playbooks for practices and behavior that could potentially be improved. As a community-backed project ansible-lint supports only the last two major versions of Ansible.

    Dbmate

    Dbmate

A lightweight, framework-agnostic database migration tool

Dbmate is a database migration tool, to keep your database schema in sync across multiple developers and your production servers. It is a standalone command line tool, which can be used with Go, Node.js, Python, Ruby, PHP, or any other language or framework you are using to write database-backed applications. This is especially helpful if you are writing many services in different languages, and want to maintain some sanity with consistent development tools. Supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and ClickHouse. Uses plain SQL for writing schema migrations. Migrations are timestamp-versioned, to avoid version number conflicts with multiple developers. Migrations are run atomically inside a transaction. Supports creating and dropping databases (handy in development/test). Supports saving a schema.sql file to easily diff schema changes in git. Database connection URL is defined using an environment variable (DATABASE_URL by default), or specified on the command line.

    PAL MCP

    PAL MCP

The power of Claude Code / GeminiCLI / CodexCLI

PAL MCP is an open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to act as a powerful middleware layer that connects AI clients and tools—like Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, and IDE plugins—to a broad range of underlying AI models, enabling collaborative multi-model workflows rather than relying on a single model. It lets developers orchestrate interactions across multiple models (including Gemini, OpenAI, Grok, Azure, Ollama, OpenRouter, and custom/self-hosted models), preserving conversation context seamlessly as tasks evolve and substeps run across tools. By supporting conversation threading and context passing, pal-mcp-server helps maintain continuity during complex processes like code reviews, automated planning, implementation, and validation, allowing models to “debate” or weigh in on specific subtasks for better outcomes.

    SwiftFormat

    SwiftFormat

A command-line tool and Xcode Extension for formatting Swift code

SwiftFormat is a code library and command-line tool for reformatting Swift code on macOS or Linux. SwiftFormat goes above and beyond what you might expect from a code formatter. In addition to adjusting white space, it can insert or remove implicit self, remove redundant parentheses, and correct many other deviations from the standard Swift idioms. Many programmers have a preferred style for formatting their code, and others seem entirely blind to the existing formatting conventions of a project. When collaborating on a project, it can be helpful to agree on a common coding style, but enforcing that manually is tedious and error-prone, and can lead to arguments if some participants take it more seriously than others. Having a tool to automatically enforce a common style eliminates those issues, and lets you focus on the behavior of the code, not its presentation.

    XcodeGen

    XcodeGen

A Swift command line tool for generating your Xcode project

XcodeGen is a command line tool written in Swift that generates your Xcode project using your folder structure and a project spec. The project spec is a YAML or JSON file that defines your targets, configurations, schemes, custom build settings and many other options. All your source directories are automatically parsed and referenced appropriately while preserving your folder structure. Sensible defaults are used in many places, so you only need to customize what is needed. Very complex projects can also be defined using more advanced features. Generate projects on demand and remove your .xcodeproj from git, which means no more merge conflicts! Automatically generate Schemes for different environments like test and production. Share build settings across multiple targets with build setting groups. Easily copy and paste files and directories without having to edit anything in Xcode.

mprocs runs multiple commands in parallel and shows output of each command separately. When you work on a project you very often need the same list of commands to be running. For example: webpack serve, just --watch, node src/server.js. With mprocs you can list these commands in mprocs.yaml and run all of them by running mprocs. Then you can switch between the outputs of running commands and interact with them.

    pcp - Peer Copy

    pcp - Peer Copy

Command line peer-to-peer data transfer tool based on libp2p

Command line peer-to-peer data transfer tool based on libp2p. There already exists a long list of file transfer tools, so why bother building another one? The problem I had with the existing tools is that they rely on a limited set of servers to orchestrate peer matching and data relaying which poses a centralization concern. Many of the usual centralization vs. decentralization arguments apply here, e.g. the servers are single points of failure, the service operator has the power over whom to serve and whom not, etc. Further, as this recent issue in croc shows, this is a real risk for the sustainable operation of the provided service.

    pv-migrate

    pv-migrate

CLI tool to easily migrate Kubernetes persistent volumes

pv-migrate is a CLI tool/kubectl plugin to easily migrate the contents of one Kubernetes PersistentVolumeClaim to another. On Kubernetes, if you need to rename a resource (like a Deployment) or to move it to a different namespace, you can simply create a copy of its manifest with the new namespace and/or name and apply it. However, it is not as simple with PersistentVolumeClaim resources: They are not only metadata, but they also store data in the underlying storage backend. In these cases, moving the data stored in the PVC can become a problem, making migrations more difficult.

    why-is-node-running

    why-is-node-running

For when Node is running but you don't know why

why-is-node-running is a diagnostic tool for Node.js developers that helps answer the question: “why is my Node.js process still alive?” In complex asynchronous code — with timers, open handles, network sockets, file watchers, or unfulfilled promises — it can be tricky to figure out what is preventing the event loop from exiting. This utility inspects the active handles and resources in the runtime, prints a breakdown of open callbacks, sockets, timers, and other tasks, and explains what’s keeping Node running, helping you track down leaks or unintended resource retention. It’s particularly useful during testing, when you expect Node to exit after tests finish, or in long-running servers when you're debugging resource leaks or shutdown logic. By providing clear human-readable output that lists current handles and their origins, the tool dramatically reduces the time you would otherwise spend manually instrumenting your code.

    Capslock

    Capslock

Tool to remap Caps Lock key behavior on Windows systems

Capslock is a command-line tool for analyzing the capabilities of Go packages to reveal what privileged operations their code and dependencies can perform. Rather than detecting vulnerabilities, Capslock focuses on identifying capabilities — permissions implied by calls to sensitive or privileged standard library functions, such as file system access, networking, or process control. By following transitive call graphs, it classifies which security-sensitive operations each package can reach, giving developers visibility into what their dependencies are capable of doing. This helps apply the Principle of Least Privilege to Go software, guiding audits, supply chain reviews, and trust assessments. Capslock aims to make security posture analysis more proactive by surfacing capability-based risk signals before malicious or overly powerful code is introduced into production.
