A package manager repository for OSGi, Java and more. Package Drone is an OSGi first software artifact repository system. It allows one to deploy artifacts via the Web UI or "mvn deploy" and consume them using Eclipse P2, OSGi R5 XML index (e.g. Bndtools), plain Maven, APT (for .deb files). Artifacts can be automatically cleaned up (for snapshot or integration builds), transformed (e.g. Maven source attachment to Eclipse Source Bundle) or aggregated. It is based on an extensible design using OSGi so it can be enhanced in the future to support more file and repository formats and include more functions (like cleanup, freeze, spool out, ...). -

Pop Framework (or Pop), http://www.popframework.net, is a bean-based MVC framework for Java/J2EE web applications. Pop implements IoC, Dependency Injection, and AOP. Pop provides annotations for users to define and reference a bean. Pop can help users to customize a bean, a scope, a factory and a reference in object-oriented way. Pop treats a bean as the model of a web page (JSP or servlet), the webpage itself is a view of the bean. The model provides the data for the view, the view is responsible for rendering the data. The Pop itself acts as the general-purposed controller for all views and models. The beans defined in server-side can be referenced by hyperlinks in client-side directly. Views and Models are therefore loosely coupled in Pop. A model can have multiple views for different devices and different locales. Each view and each model can be maintained and optimized independently and in parallel. -

As those involved in SOA technologies will know web services and integration is a fairly dry subject. Typically the integrated systems and services sit behind a facade of other systems or web and desktop based applications. How then do you interest business users of the power of your solution? How do you quickly build or mock up an application that will interact with your back end services? We had just such a problem and needed a way to keep senior technical staff and business users awake during a presentation. We searched for something suitable - we knew that editing XML in SOAP UI would not work well - in the end we created our own demonstration framework - this is the result.
