    FFusion

FFmpeg-based decoded component for Apple QuickTime

This is a revival of the old FFusion QuickTime component, updated through the Perian project and extracted from there by RJVB. It aims to be a decode-only codec leveraging FFmpeg to do the actual work. For now it is based on libavcodec v52, as is Perian; the goal is to port it to use the current libavcodec, and then to build it for win32 QuickTime. In hope it'll improve playback performance for mp4, h264, etc. files. The source is hosted on GitHub, the SourceForge project holds the resulting and required binaries.

    Lyra

    Lyra

A Very Low-Bitrate Codec for Speech Compression

lyra is a neural audio codec designed to deliver intelligible, natural-sounding speech at extremely low bitrates, making real-time communication viable on constrained networks. It replaces hand-engineered codecs with learned models that capture speech characteristics more efficiently and reconstruct waveforms with a neural vocoder. The system targets mobile-class hardware, balancing latency and quality so it can run in real-time on phones. Its architecture is resilient to packet loss and jitter through framing strategies and error concealment, helping conversations remain understandable under adverse conditions. The codebase includes encoder and decoder components, along with tools for data preparation and evaluation. By pushing bitrates down to just a few kilobits per second while retaining quality, lyra expands access to voice calls where bandwidth is scarce.

Ogg Omg Metadata Getter for PHP

    Previously known as Ogg.class.php

This is a continuation of Ogg.class.php by Nicolas Ricquemaque, which in turn was a split from File_Ogg by David Grant (don't you love Free Software?). Initially this project will just fix bugs and make minor adjustments to Ogg.class.php code, no backward incompatible changes will be made without an announcement. The version numbers will continue from the 1.3g, the latest released version of the ancestor project. Note: This project will __not__ help you to convert your media files into Ogg or to mux several Ogg streams together. It __will__ help you to get correct information about an already converted file.
