CB2XML (CopyBook to XML) is a COBOL CopyBook to XML converter written in Java and based on the SableCC parsergenerator. This project includes utilities to convert an XML instance file into its COBOL copybook equivalent string buffer and vice versa.
Source is now available in GitHub: https://github.com/bmTas/cb2xml
A lexical analyzer generator that makes the class source code.
ULS is a class library for creating lexical analyzer from language specification file. It's provided as C/C++/C# and Java (class) libraries with a few of tools on Linux/Windows platform.
SableCC is a parsergenerator which generates object-oriented frameworks for building compilers, interpreters and other text parsers. SableCC keeps a clean separation between machine and user code which leads to a shorter development cycle.
Stop waiting on engineering. Build production-ready internal tools with AI—on your company data, in your cloud.
Retool lets you generate dashboards, admin panels, and workflows directly on your data. Type something like “Build me a revenue dashboard on my Stripe data” and get a working app with security, permissions, and compliance built in from day one. Whether on our cloud or self-hosted, create the internal software your team needs without compromising enterprise standards or control.
This project has moved to GitHub ! The version here at SourceForge will remain for historic purpose.
Koopa is a parsergenerator, made for COBOL. It can handle source files in isolation (no preprocessing required) and doesn't mind the presence of CICS/SQL fragments. The grammar is easily extensible in a way which minimizes the impact on the overall code.
Coco/S is a compiler generator that takes plain EBNF grammar files and features a SAX style call back API. It is written in Java and produces a Java Scanner (Lexer) and Parser for the language described by the input grammar.
Coco/S is a branch of the 2010/11 release of Coco/R for Java.
While Coco/R takes an attributed grammar file, Coco/S has a callback API.
Laja is a combined code generator and parsergenerator written in Java. Focus has been on easy of use. It runs on most Windows and Unix/Linux plattforms. The parsergenerator generate parsers for Java.
JPlex is an unconventional lexical analyzer generator for Java. JPlex lexers are NIO-based, DFA-powered, push-driven, and fully decoupled and reusable. Their state machines are precompiled and serialized, so run time initialization is fast no matter how large the rule set.
JPlex is not a parsergenerator; it only generates an interface for its parsers, and it does not build a parse tree.

DataScript is a formal language for modelling binary datatypes, bitstreams or file formats. This project provides a parser and code generator for generating Java codec classes from a DataScript specification.
Lapg is the combined lexical analyzer and parsergenerator, which converts a description for a context-free LALR grammar into source file to parse the grammar. Generates code for Java, Javascript, C, C++ and C#.
Extension of the CUP parsergenerator for working with abstract syntax trees (ast). Implements support for class hierarchy generation and automatic tree building from CUP grammar specification files. Version 10k of CUP is used.
lightJacc is a small but strong grammar parsergenerator. It adopts a parsing strategy of its own: dynamic concurrent parsing -- which made it much stronger than LR or LL family CCs (YACC, ANTLR, etc), but still keep good performance.
ParGeL is an LALR(k) parsergenerator, which allows creation of inheritable parsers in runtime and compile time environments. ParGeL is written 100% in Java.
More Than Parsing is a parsergenerator for context free grammars defined in a BNF-like format. It generates scanners, parsers, ASTs, etc. This sf project is no longer active, development will continue in a different place.
Covra is a project to help design compilers. C3 is a tool specialized on the easy design and construction of ASTs, it is independent of the compiler compilers or parsergenerator that is used. It generates Java and C# code. Require JRE 1.6.0.
BNF for Java is a BNF Compiler-Compiler, or Parser-Generator. It implements ISO Standard Backus-Naur Format, using Java. BNF allows you to create a syntax, or a complete language, to parse your data source. Your custom Java extensions generate output.
A parsergenerator derived from ANTLR with JavaCC like (but not the same) syntax and some new features. It also comes with sample grammars for CSharp, Java, GnuC, Html, XHtml, Xml, ECMA262... etc.
The UCL MDA Tools are lightweight Model Driven Architecture tools developed at University College London. They include a JMI generator implemented using the velocity template engine, an OCL type checker, and a parser for textual MOF models.
Blade Language Developer (or Project Blade for short) is a toolkit for creating domain specific or general programming languages. The toolkit offers a language for describing grammars, and templatable parsergenerator.
