Modern android devices don't use anymore Mass Storage Mode. Instead they use the internal sdcard as a virtually mounted subfolder inside /data partition. It would be ok if MTP preserved correctly timestamps, which doesn't. Other options that could work, like FTP with MFMT command doesn't work properly on android either. map2bsb is a program that can convert charts in the map format to the more widely used bsb format. Note that there are plenty of map formats: basically each chart plotter (Ozi Explorer, Scannav, etc.) has its own. Note also that the bsb format does not support vectorial charts.
