The use of calculation models together with experimental tests is producing unquestionable successes due to the fact that both techniques complement each other. 1D wave action models simplify the engine by means of ducts, where only one dimension is considered, and volumes where mass accumulation is considered and the gas properties are uniform in the entire element. Finally, non dimensional models are used to solve connections between 1D and 0D elements. PotterDraw is a free 3D software application for designing and visualizing pottery. It’s useful for creating cylindrical shapes such as pots, flasks, vases, bowls, plates, cups, glasses, goblets, or anything similar. The outer wall of the pot is drawn using a spline, which consists of one or more curved or linear segments. The inner wall is generated automatically. PotterDraw can export files suitable for 3D printing. It can also map synthesized or user-specified textures onto the pot. Mesh and texture properties can be modulated by oscillators for more complex effects, and the modulations can be animated to create videos. -

A Windows only 2.5D CAD CAM application. The user experience tightly integrates the CAM aspects when doing design and layout. The target users will layout their design and then immediately generate CNC code. The goal is a design application closer to Adobe Illustrator than to AutoCAD. The user specifies machining aspects during object creation so that when the design/layout phase is completed the toolpath generation can occur automatically. What is 2.5D? Objects created are flat (2D) but have a depth component. So you can create a square that will be machined at a specific depth but the depth will be constant accross the square. Advanced Simulation Library (ASL) is a free and open source multiphysics simulation software package. Its computational engine is based, among others, on the Lattice Boltzmann Methods (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lattice_Boltzmann_methods) and is written in OpenCL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenCL) which enable extraordinarily efficient deployment (http://asl.org.il/benchmarks) on a variety of massively parallel architectures, ranging from inexpensive FPGAs, DSPs and GPUs up to heterogeneous clusters and supercomputers.
