Homemotion is a Java based control center for home automatation.
...It uses of an internal notification bus that is connecting different components. The usage of generic attributes and adapters allows to add (and mix) different hardware backends. The default UI interface is build using newest JavaFX technology and also includes a small JavaFX UI framework.
