Buildprof is a Linux build profiler that records every process launched during a build and turns the trace into an interactive browser timeline. It follows the full process tree across build systems, compilers, linkers, code generators, and arbitrary scripts. Users can inspect command lines, working directories, exit statuses, timing, and file accesses to find slow steps or gaps in parallelism. File relationships can be followed back to the processes that produced them. Optional integrations add internal timing data from Clang, LLD, and nightly Rust.
