I have multiple versions of visual studio on my development system. The problem I have is that if I double-clicked on a solution or project file, my computer would often open the wrong version of Visual Studio for that project. (Usually the latest installed version. ) I wrote a simple command line application that parses the solution/project files, and launches the appropriate version of Visual Studio. In addition, my utility can be used to build solutions/projects from the command line (like MsBuild), using the appropriate version of Visual Studio for that project. This utility currently supports: - Visual Studio 2012 - Visual Studio 2013 - Visual Studio 2015 - Visual Studio 2017 This project was developed using the Poco open source libraries.

JxMake is a Java-based, cross-platform build system primarily inspired by the syntax and features of GNU Make, Perforce Jam, and CMake. It allows one to deploy artifacts via the Web UI or "mvn deploy" and consume them using Eclipse P2, OSGi R5 XML index (e.g. Bndtools), plain Maven, APT (for .deb files). Artifacts can be automatically cleaned up (for snapshot or integration builds), transformed (e.g. Maven source attachment to Eclipse Source Bundle) or aggregated. It is based on an extensible design using OSGi so it can be enhanced in the future to support more file and repository formats and include more functions (like cleanup, freeze, spool out, ...).
