...The Pearl 7.1 base (18.04) is where this version starts but has many familiar features the folks familiar with Elementary OS and will feel at home but not quite because as Usual we like to twist it up a bit. The just released of Elementary OS is great and now the Pearl Linux version of Elementary OS with the standard Pearl defaults including compiz for desktop effects available threw the Pearl Window Manager Switcher. For updates we chose to not use the normal way we do updates on other current Pearl releases which is by means of PearlUpdate, which is our version of MintUpdate from Linux Mint. Updates are handled with the default of the Pantheon Desktop Environment to keep the Elementary OS feel as default. ...
