...For updates we chose to not use the normal way we do updates on other current Pearl releases which is by means of PearlUpdate, which is our version of MintUpdate from Linux Mint. Updates are handled with the default of the Pantheon Desktop Environment to keep the Elementary OS feel as default. Easily installs UEFI on older Mac Book Pro's. For the inexperienced, after install just create a ReFind bootable usb thumb drive available on https://sourceforge.net/projects/refind/files/0.11.4/refind-flashdrive-0.11.4.zip/download -

...It also is secure (without requiring constant user input like Windows). But, how are we going to do this? Well every os wants/says these kind of things, so to accomplish our goals we follow these simple rules: keep it simple (that's way better then these complex interfaces etc. almost nobody wants), generalize (this makes things easier and more useful without extra complexity) and be inventive (sometimes doing it the classical way just doesn't work).
