Another open source java chess engine. The project is in a very early stage. Winboard compliance is partial. Does not support undo of moves or time controls. Right now it makes a move every 45 seconds. If you are a beginner-intermediate player you might find this a good sparring partner.I have tested this only with Arena3.0. I plan to make this stronger gradually.

Tic Tac Toe The Return is a simple graphic game written in Java. It is a port of mptris to the Java platform. mptris is a text-mode tic-tac-toe game written in C language. I wrote both to get some confidence with the programming languages. In the Download section (Files) you can also find the sources of the Windows Phone 8 port and of the ancient console mode versions.

I have no idea how well this game runs on other operating systems, but then again I can't see much in theory to stop it working on any operating system capable of running java..

Its the common tictactoe game, developed in java, with client/server configuration so it can be played over a network. It can be played in a 3x3 board or 4x4 board. There are more options but some of them are not implemented. I'm only putting this here now (2012) but this was one of the projects for a University course in 2003, when I was still a student. I just thought I should put this some place safe, and so... here it is!

The following chess application has been in construction since late Fall of the year 2011. The program is in the pre-alpha stage; it is in no way a finished product. This is the first step of a board game engine development plan "Architect". The first version will be playing the classical Gomoku game, and this version is called "Architect I". This project also shows the rich features of the next generation Java graphical user interface. The GUI of this application was built using JavaFX 2.0 which was entirely written in Java. Although as been announced, JavaFX 3.0 will be integrated into JRE in next year, at this point, you still need a separate runtime evironment.
