    reditools

RNA editing detection by NGS data

...A-to-I substitutions may have profound functional consequences and have been linked to a variety of human diseases including neurological and neurodegenerative disorders or cancer. NGS technologies offer a unique opportunity to investigate RNA editing. REDItools are simple python scripts conceived to investigate RNA editing at large-scale. REDItools are now hosted at https://github.com/BioinfoUNIBA/REDItools

    D-Tailor

    D-Tailor

D-Tailor: automated analysis and design of DNA sequences

Recent advances in DNA cloning and synthesis technologies afford high throughput implementation of designed sequences into living cells. However, our ability to design sequences to interrogate multifactorial biological processes and further engineer biological functions is lagging behind. DNA-Tailor (D-Tailor) is a fully extendable software framework for biological sequence analysis and multi-objective sequence design.

    lr2rmats

    Long read to rMATS

lr2rmats is a Snakemake-based light-weight pipeline which is designed to utilize both third-generation long-read and second-generation short-read RNA-seq data to generate an enhanced gene annotation file. The newly generated annotation file could be provided to rMATS for differential alternative splicing analysis. More information can be found at https://sourceforge.net/p/lr2rmats/wiki/Home/

    ExAM-Exome_Analysis_And_Mining

A whole exome sequencing analysis package and its graphical interface

During the past few years, whole exome sequencing has imposed itself for genetic research, largely due to its use for detection of causative mutations responsible for Mendelian disorders. As a consequence of their power and of the rapidly decreasing cost of these technologies, massive amount of exome sequencing data are generated and becoming available to a broadening community of scientists. However, these data remain difficult to analyze and interpret by the general scientific community, due to the limited bioinformatics resources that are currently freely available for their analysis and the partial information that they provide. ...
