A series of libraries for yabasic , the BASIC dialect by Marc Ihm, that give access to a number of common utilities on Linux. Not tested on other UNIX platforms, but it should be possible to adjust them accordingly. A generalization of Conway's Game of Life
Conway's Game of Life is generalized to a continuous domain. OpenGL and GLSL shaders are used for real-time 2D and 3D graphics. Time stepping is done via a real to complex FFT based convolution operation. There are also two deliberately simple test implementations in FreeBasic and Matlab. A 2D version on a sphere shows that it is really not dependent on the underlying grid. -

EXPR is a software package for the recording and analysis of animal behaviour. Recording is done by pressing particular keyboard keys on the computer. The software then saves the sequence and timing of behaviours. Note that the DOS (1995: https://sourceforge.net/projects/expr/files/expr/fb-port-expr-00-1995/EXPR-binary-DOS-0.0.1995.tar.gz/download) version is currently the only fully functional and is recommended for use. On modern computers, DOS software can run in DOSBOX (https://www.dosbox.com/).
