...All this is accomplished by using the ffmpeg crossover audio filter to split the sound into 8 frequency bands. The split points are based on center frequencies of a typical 1/3 octave equalizer. Those 8 bands are then panned in varying degrees to left and right. The varying width of each band is set to achieve the best balance between the left and right channels. Mind you: the goal was not to exactly replicate orchestral seating. It was to best alleviate that "tin can in a hole in the wall" mono sound. -

It is written in Applesoft BASIC and strives to be as close to the original as possible. TI-BASIC is very similar to Applesoft BASIC, but not enough that I could port it directly. Instead it will serve as a guide, allowing me to duplicate subroutines and game logic the same way. -

With a small electronic circuit we can for example drive electric devices trought the PC. The program can support max. 24 devices and 3 LPT ports (0x287, 0x387 and 0x3BC). There is no need to build an additional electronic circuit for small power devices like LEDs (10-20mA), but for bigger projects (motors, etc.), the circuit is needed. The lptdrv tool is written in QuickBASIC. -
