    a tool to control LPT-attached devices manually or on a time basis

    A DOS "driver" for computer LPT ports (parallel "CENTRONICS"). It allow to change easily the logic states of any pins, either manually or automatically (on a predefined time basis). With a small electronic circuit we can for example drive electric devices trought the PC. The program can support max. 24 devices and 3 LPT ports (0x287, 0x387 and 0x3BC). There is no need to build an additional electronic circuit for small power devices like LEDs (10-20mA), but for bigger projects (motors, etc.), the circuit is needed. The lptdrv tool is written in QuickBASIC.

    ANSiMat is a graphical viewer of ANSI art files. It can also be used to convert ANSI (or plain ASCII) files into regular (BMP, TGA, PCX...) graphic files, or into animations (FLC). Altough not initially designed for this, ANSiMat can be successfully used as an ASCII art viewer, or even simple text files viewer. ANSiMat is available for Linux, Windows and DOS. ANSiMat supports also modem emulation speed, therefore it can be used to display ANSI animations.

    ...I wrote MiNES because I needed a portable iNES editor that would allow me to change the PAL/NTSC bit of the iNES header. MiNES follows the Marat Fayzullin's iNES specification, and takes care to not change any unused (reserved for future use) bits. That way you can be sure that it will not brake your ROMs (unless you do something stupid), and preserve compatibility with future versions of the iNES format. MiNES computes ROM's CRC32 and uses an internal database to guess the game's title and correct (recommended) header settings.
