Written in bash, is a very simple backup tool designed for backup a system on disks attached locally (tipically USB disks).
Based on DAR (https://sourceforge.net/projects/dar/), it suppports continously backup (using LVM snapshots and incremental backups).
Once installed there are only two configuration files:
- /etc/bkdar.conf where you define _how_ the backup is perfmored
- /etc/cron.d/bkdar where you define _when_ the backup is performed
snap2 is a powerful rsync-based backup program (shell script) for Linux desktop PCs. It has a user-friendly GUI. It creates automatically-rotating 'snapshot' backups, or a mirror backup. It can also be run non-interactively, via cron.

bkupcj is a software for automatically backup your files to usbdisk, samba partition or local directory. bkupcj creates mirrors of original directories, isn't incremental in order to optimize disk space. bkupcj can also be used like a cronjob.
