This is a console front-end for the Duplicity backup application. It is written in C++ and was mostly written to refresh my memory on the use of classes, however it is fully functional.

FTP to Zip takes browser based FTP backup of WordPress plus other folders. Basically it uses PHP ZipArchive class ZipArchive(); which can not be used without shell access directly. The first script checks and shows up your WordPress Installation root. Depending upon the size of your FTP content, it can taken few minutes to few hours to complete the process and will create a zip file on the root where the script is made to run. On the next screen, you will get the option to download it to your computer as well.

This application takes a large file and splits it into smaller pieces. The user can select from 1.44 MB, 100 MB, 250 MB, 650 MB, 700 MB, 4.3 GB or custom (any size) piece sizes. The program works with exceptionally large input files.

It is a Java application, OS independent. It synchronizes files between folders to keep 2 folders' content the same and backup updated files as well for late recovery. It will support net folders on net protocols in the future.
