Dynamically loaded extension libraries for GNU AWK
The gawkextlib project provides several extension libraries for gawk (GNU AWK), as well as libgawkextlib containing some APIs that are useful for building gawk extension libraries. These libraries enable gawk to process XML data, interact with a PostgreSQL database, use the GD graphics library, and perform unlimited precision MPFR calculations. These extensions work with GNU AWK version 4.1.1 or later. We have created a framework for packaging gawk extensions, and we welcome further contributions. Recent additions include haru, redis, and select for I/O multiplexing. -

AwkStatistics is a script which is used to generate statistical data for csv data by using awk. It takes two columns from the input file, one is used to identify the row(option -i) and the other one is the column where the values are taken from (option -v). This is an approach that complements previous methods for reliable homozygous structural variation identification. Our approach accurately determines genotype and breakpoints relative to a reference genome based on de novo assembly of Illumina Genome Analyzer sequencing data. In this method, we examined only homozygous structural variations because detecting heterozygous structural variations requires assembly of haplotype sequences, which is not yet possible using existing assemblers. -
