2FAS Auth Browser Extension is a cross-browser plugin that integrates the 2FAS multi-factor authentication platform directly into the user’s web browsing workflow, helping streamline login flows by interfacing with web pages and 2FA token generation in a seamless way. Once installed in browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or others that support standard extension APIs, it can detect 2FA prompts on login forms and offer to fill or suggest one-time passwords generated by your 2FAS mobile clients or local vault, reducing friction and manual copy-paste steps. The extension communicates securely with companion mobile or desktop clients to fetch or synchronize token data, respecting encryption and privacy boundaries so that secrets are never exposed to the extension itself without user consent. It also lets users manage or view registered accounts, add new ones by scanning QR codes via companion apps, and handle token organization from within browser UI elements.

Passport is a flexible authentication middleware for Node.js that provides a modular and extensible system for handling user login and identity in web applications. It doesn’t impose specific user model structures or storage strategies but instead offers a unified API driven by “strategies”—small plugins that encapsulate authentication logic for protocols such as local username/password, OAuth, OpenID, SAML, and many others. This design allows developers to plug in only the strategies they need and swap or add new ones without rewriting core application logic, making Passport highly adaptable for diverse authentication requirements. Passport hooks into Express (and similar frameworks) using middleware functions that run during the request lifecycle, simplifying tasks like session management, credential validation, and user serialization.

passport-facebook is a Passport strategy for authenticating users with their Facebook credentials using the OAuth 2.0 protocol, enabling Node.js applications to let visitors log in with their Facebook account easily. It manages the redirection to Facebook’s login page, the authorization code exchange, and the retrieval of basic profile information, reducing the boilerplate developers would otherwise write to integrate with Facebook’s API manually. When used with Express and Passport, the strategy triggers redirects and callback handling automatically based on configured routes, so developers can focus on application logic like user onboarding and account linkage. The module normalizes the returned user profile into a consistent format so you can store or use profile data with minimal translation. It also handles secure token exchange and sanitization of inputs to protect against common OAuth attacks.

It can compile in the browser, server-side or at build time in Node. JSS is framework agnostic. It consists of multiple packages, the core, plugins, framework integrations and others. If you’re interested in playing around with JSS, you can use an online code playground. Try a Hello World example on CodeSandbox. JSS generates actual CSS, not Inline Styles. It supports every existing CSS feature. CSS rules are created once and reused across the elements using its class name in contrary to Inline Styles. Also, when DOM elements get updated, previously created CSS rules are applied. JSS generates unique class names by default. It allows avoiding the typical CSS problem, where everything is global by default. It completely removes the need for naming conventions.
