Swiss army knife of image processing
GraphicsMagick provides a set of commandline tools and programming APIs for manipulating, editing, and converting raster and vector images. It is derived from ImageMagick, with the objective of providing better stability and performance than ImageMagick while retaining the original MIT/X11 license.
a commandline tool for manipulating time values in .SRT subtitle files
srttiming is a tiny command-line application which converts pace and offset of .SRT subtitle files among different frame rates. srttiming converts ALL the time labels in the original .srt file according to given PACE and OFFSET values. srttiming can also calculate PACE and OFFSET values from given REFERENCE TIME POINTS. Currently intended for Linux/Unix platforms.

Graphic Live Mixer
GLMixer performs real time graphical blending of several movie clips and of computer generated graphics. Drop video files in the mixing workspace and place them in a circular area to change their opacity ; if you selects two videos, moving them together performs a fading transition. This principle generalizes to a large number of videos. Direct interaction with the video allows to be fast and reactive, and to move and deform them on screen. The output of your operations is shown in the output window, typically displayed in full-screen on an external monitor or a projector. But the output can also be saved as a video file. Control GLMixer through network using OpenSoundControl, and generate graphics with ShaderToy GLSL code. xine is a free multimedia player. It plays back CDs, DVDs, and VCDs. It also decodes multimedia files like AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP3 from local disk drives, and displays multimedia streamed over the Internet.
it's a video player, also works for music and pictures
This player stands on the giant shoulders of FFmpeg. Audio rendering is accomplished via portaudio v19. Video rendering is via OpenGL, using fragment programs when possible. User interface is implemented with Qt 4.7. ASS/SSA subtitle rendering is implemented with libass. MOD, XM, S3M, IT file support via libmodplug. This player provides several performance options to enable adequate video playback on slow hardware: * skip loop filter * skip non-reference frames * skip color converter * reduce playback speed to accommodate slow video decoding NOTE: Linux binaries are not provided. Please build from source.
GOP-based video editor (remuxer)
Aeyae Remux can be used to extract portions of original video into a separate file. Aeyae Remux is a GOP-based editor (GOP = Group Of Pictures), which means it doesn't do any transcoding, only remuxing. However, it can truncate a GOP. Aeyae Remux can be used to stitch together files... within reason. Since it is only a remuxer -- stitched files must be of compatible format. This means stitched files must have the same audio/video codecs, and codec properties (width, height, sample rate, etc...). That said... Aeyae Remux currently doesn't check or enforce this restriction, so beware -- garbage input will likely produce garbage output. Linux binaries are not provided, please build from source. 8 GB of RAM (but more is better) is highly recommended if working with source files longer than 2 hours.

High performance image processing library in C++
The Simd Library is a free open source image processing library, designed for C and C++ programmers. It provides many useful high performance algorithms for image processing such as: pixel format conversion, image scaling and filtration, extraction of statistic information from images, motion detection, object detection (HAAR and LBP classifier cascades) and classification, neural network. The algorithms are optimized with using of different SIMD CPU extensions. In particular the library supports following CPU extensions: SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX, AVX2 and AVX-512 for x86/x64, VMX(Altivec) and VSX(Power7) for PowerPC, NEON for ARM. The Simd Library has C API and also contains useful C++ classes and functions to facilitate access to C API. The library supports dynamic and static linking, 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, Android and Linux, MSVS, G++ and Clang compilers, MSVS project and CMake build systems.

A homebrew video suite for game consoles
A homebrew software suite for video game consoles developed to help in the evaluation of upscalers, upscan converters, line doublers and of course TV processing of 240p video. The Wii and Dreamcast versions have modes for 480i and 480p evaluation as well. It has tests designed with the processing of 240p signals in mind, although when possible it includes other video modes and specific tests for them. These have been tested with video processors on real hardware and a variety of displays, including CRTs and Arcade monitors via RGB. As a secondary target, the suite aims to provide tools for calibrating colors, black and white levels for specific console outputs and setups. Current platforms are: Sega Genesis (Mega Drive), Sega CD (Mega CD), PC Engine/Turbografx-16, Super CD-ROM2/CD-ROM2, NES/Famicom, Super Nintendo/Super Famicom, Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo Wii and GameCube.
