Convert PSID and RSID files into C64 executables
PSID64 is a program that converts PSID and RSID files into C64 executables. This allows users to play PSID and RSID files (originally used by the PlaySID program) on a real Commodore 64 computer or emulator such as VICE.
sr-convert is a command-line sample-rate converter for WAV files, which supports a wide variety of sampling rates, and achieves very high sound quality. It runs on Windows (MinGW) and x86 Linux systems, and makes use of SSE instructions if available.
WavPack is a free, fast, flexible and featureful encoder and decoder for audio streams. Besides lossless, it can perform lossy and hybrid (lossy+correction file) encodings.
XMMS-Musepack is an audio output plugin for the well known xmms on Linux. Andree Buschmann's en-/decoder is a great improvement of lossy audio compression compared to MPEG-III. Give it a try! Frank Klemm has added many speed optimizations and continous
