Virtual Sound Level Meter for analyzing calibrated sound files
This project is the MATLAB development of a virtual sound level meter. The program will read in a calibrated .wav file and allow the user to analyze it as one would analyze a sound field with a sound level meter. The software implements Fast, Slow, Impulse and LEQ; A, C and Flat Weighting; Ln and Noise Dose analysis; Octave and 1/3 Octave band analysis; high resolution FFT analysis and spectrograms. Band analysis can be made using fast FFT methods or slower, but ANSI standard methods. Source code requires MATLAB + Signal Processing Toolbox. Developed under MATLAB R2010a (but might work with some earlier versions) Executable version does not require MATLAB and runs under Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
Yet Another Audio Feature Extractor is a toolbox for audio analysis. Easy to use and efficient at extracting a large number of audio features simultaneously. WAV and MP3 files supported, or embedding in C++, Python or Matlab applications.
Advanced acoustic detection, classification and localization
Advanced detection, classification and localization (DCL) of marine mammals and passive acoustic monitoring (PAM). Code is being developed as Matlab routines, interfaces for Ishmael (http://www.bioacoustics.us/ishmael.html), and in other formats.
SoundRuler is a tool for acoustic analysis, graphing and teaching. It interactively recognizes and measures 35 temporal and spectral properties of each sound in a file. It also features several measurement, graphing and didactic modules.
CQT-FW is an audio analisys tool for multiple pitch recognition
CQT-FW(Constant Q transform with Fixed length Window) is a time-frequency transform for multiple pitch recognition in audio signals(songs). The transform CQT(Constant Q Transform) provide analisys frequencies in a exponencial way, like music does, but it have problems with the time resolution. In CQT-FW we have the same frequency resolution as CQT, but with fixed length windows in time, what leads to a constant time resolution as well. And more, time and frequency resolution are not dependent like in CQT end DFT transforms. We also propose a post processing witch eliminate the high order harmonics, leaving only the fundamental frequencies. The transform got good results in a good range of frequencies, but still have problems in low frequencies.
MATAA (Mat's Audio Analyzer) is a flexible and versatile audio analysis system based on Matlab or GNU Octave. MATAA was removed from SourceForge. Please visit https://github.com/mbrennwa/mataa for further information.
The Matimbre Toolbox for use with Matlab is a collection of functions which aim to provide tools for timbre analysis. The toolbox supports a wide range of timbre descriptors characterizing either temporal, spectral or spectro-temporal aspects of sounds.
Open-source content and evaluation framework for music transcription systems. Can be used as monophonic or polyphonic database, through software mixing.
