jMIR is an open-source software suite implemented in Java for use in music information retrieval (MIR) research. It also includes tools for managing and profiling large music collections and for checking audio for production errors. jMIR includes software for extracting features, applying machine learning algorithms, applying heuristic error error checkers, mining metadata and analyzing metadata.

DLect simply downloads lecture recordings from The University of Queensland's Blackboard site. DLect then organises the recordings into folders by subject. DLect also supports creating playlists and modifying the meta-data of the downloaded files. DLect is easy to install; just download the file and run with Java. It is lightweight; self-contained and can be synchronised using most online services such as Dropbox. DLect is useful if you have missed one lecture, a week or need to watch all of the last semester. Spatially Oriented Format for Acoustics
In this project we work on the (S)patially (O)riented (F)ormat for (A)coustics: SOFA. The file format is intended for reading, saving, and describing spatially oriented data of acoustic systems. Examples of data we consider are head-related transfer functions (HRTFs), binaural room impulse responses (BRIRs), multichannel measurements such as done with microphone arrays, or directionality data of loudspeakers. The format specifications are the major issue, but we also aim in providing APIs for reading and writing the data in SOFA.
