Open Source C Audio Mixers

Conceived as an internet radio Shoutcast/Icecast client and DJ console IDJC has two main media players, a background track player, effects buttons, crossfader, webm, aac, ogg, and mp3 streaming, stream automation timers, aux input, voice and VoIP integration. Media file formats include: mp3, ogg, flac, wma, wav, m4a, m3u, xspf, pls, and cue sheet support, IRC track and station announcements, uses jack audio connection kit to provide a flexible audio chain. This program adjusts an audio mixer from X, the console, a terminal, the command line or a script.

With SoundManager you are able to control multiple sound channels of one or multiple sound cards. It uses ALSA to speak to the sound cards. An example how to use SoundManager would be a shop or store with multiple rooms where every should have its own speaker. Then with SoundManager you would have a single web interface where you could control every single speaker. SoundManager also allows to create different playlists and assign them to one or multiple sound channels. It is also possible to use line-in or a microphone instead of a playlist.

Volume.app is a simple and attractive audio volume control program in the dockapp form factor, intended for use with X window managers such as Window Maker, Blackbox, and Afterstep.

OpenAL Soft is a software implementation of the OpenAL 3D audio API. It provides capabilities for playing audio in a virtual 3d environment. Distance attenuation, doppler shift, and directional sound emitters are among the features handled by the API.

Umix is an program for adjusting soundcard volumes and other features in soundcard mixers.

JackMixDesk is an audio mixer for JACK with an OSC control interface and LASH support. It has a configurable number of inputs and pre/post sends/outs which can be controlled by sending it OSC messages. There is a XML config file and a GTK interface. :-)

GVolWheel is application which lets you control the volume easily through a tray icon you can scroll on. Easily integrate with minimal desktops (Openbox,IceWM,XFCE etc).

Curses-based, (sorta) real-time, player/mixer/instrument/toy. Very simple to use: it just loops a bunch of audio clips and lets you turn each clip on and off individually with the keyboard. Volume and speed can be adjusted on the fly.

This project´s goal is to add ASIO support to JavaSound. It is aimed for Windows and Macintosh systems and contains the C++ part for accessing the ASIO drivers as well as the Java part providing a MixerProvider PlugIn.
