ABC is a text-based music notation language. This project aims to promote the ABC music notation language by providing cross-platform, open-source tools for manipulating, displaying and playing (via MIDI) ABC files. Tablature is intended to provide a better way to author and exchange tablatures. Text is basically used on archives like OLGA (Online Guitar Archive). The goal is to promote an open standard (XML based) to describe tablatures.
