    Celestial Precomputation

    Celestial Precomputation

Sight Reduction for Air Navigation with Python

...This Python TK application calculates a good set of stars for a 3 star fix, makes all calculations similar to the FAAs Celestial Computation Sheet (see FAA doc FAA-H-8083-18). Also, you can create a PDF file that generates Pub 249 Vol 1 for any epoch you specify. The PUB249 as PDF is found under "Files". I wrote this for my aircraft bubble octant :-) It is mainly useful for air navigation as it assumes a bubble sextant but may be used for normal sextants as well. Requires Ephem and ReportLab (optional for PDF output) Not to be used for real-world navigation!

    U-Net Fusion RFI

    U-Net Fusion RFI

U-Net for RFI Detection based on @jakeret's implementation

...Additional work is being done to add custom layers to this model for further experimentation, including Squeeze/Excitation layers (unimplemented.) Sum Threshold (in fusion as an expert, and in testing as a comparison) requires the use of AOFlagger by Andre Offringa. You can find this code at https://gitlab.com/aroffringa/aoflagger. This project will use the aoflagger program within the code, so you may need to ensure that any environment variables are set for aoflagger before use. cite: https://sourceforge.net/p/u-net-fusion-rfi/wiki/cite/

    pyindi-client

Python binding to the libindi library

...Besides Python there are also bindings for node.js, Tcl (incomplete) and PHP (not useful). As application examples you will find a Python Websocket server with which you may build a web application interacting with Indi servers, and a simple PyQt application similar to the Kstars Indi Control Panel (was built as an exercise). Finally there is an equatorial mount 3D simulator written with Freecad and Python, planned to be connected with the PyIndi module. *** The pyindi-client binding has moved to github...

    Hammurabi Code

    Astrophysical magnetic fields simulator

Hammurabi is a HEALPix-based tool for simulating observables such as polarized synchrotron and thermal dust emission from models of physical inputs such as magnetic fields, dust and electron distributions, etc. It is a modular C++ framework into which you can add your own models easily and then use it to perform the line-of-sight integration to compute the observables. See the wiki for installation and usage information. Please cite the original Waelkens et al. (2009) paper if you use hammurabi. This version of Hammurabi is deprecated and is no longer being supported. A new and improved version of Hammurabi (dubbed 'X') is available at : https://bitbucket.org/hammurabicode/hamx

    PARot polar aligner

    PARot polar aligner

Software for polar alignment of equatorial mounts

PARot is a program for ultra fast and precise polar alignment of equatorial mounts. You can easily achieve alignment accuracy better than 1 arcmin in 5 minutes of time. You take one image of the celestial pole, rotate the mount around the RA axis and take another image. The program compares the images and shows you the necessary adjustment. The adjustment process is controlled by the live-liew created by your camera.

    High Speed Parallel Imaging (HSPI)

    High Speed Parallel Imaging (HSPI)

HSPI does parallel capture and sky surveys.

...HSPI can control the CCD camera, the mount, the focuser, the filter wheel and the dome from a single interface, and not only this: these features can be added on as many observatories and instrumentations you want. HSPI is ASCOM and INDI compatible, so if you want to use particular setups like Linux computers connected with your instrumentation and control them from remote then HSPI is your choice! After a few clicks you can see the images coming from your cameras connected through Internet or your LAN. HSPI saves your pictures in various formats: Bitmap, FIT, JPEG, PNG, TIFF are the picture formats supported.
