    echoes

    echoes

Echoes is a radio spectral analysis software for SDR devices

...Echoes doesn't demodulate neither decode any human-made signal. Its main goal is to analyze and record the total power of natural signals and generate screenshots and tabular data (CSV,) output in presence of particular peaks in a selected narrow range of frequencies. Since there is no demodulation, there is no provision for audio listening, except for a notify sound when an event has been recorded. Finally, Echoes can also operate getting an audio input, thus producing audio spectra. This way, Echoes can also be used with traditional receivers.

    p3d

    General data-reduction tool for fiber-fed integral-field spectrographs

p3d is a general data-reduction tool for use with fiber-fed integral-field spectrographs (IFSs); although, the spectrum viewer works with spectrum data cubes of any origin. The tool is built about the proprietary software IDL (Harris/EXELIS; see http://www.harrisgeospatial.com), but can be used without any license. Most slowly running loops are implemented in parallelized C (OpenMP).

    rx2fits

HF/VHF spectrosopy code for the rx888mk2 direct-sampling receiver

rx2fits is an SDR code for the rx888mk2 direct-sampling receiver that streams spectral data with frequency up to 65 MHz to FITS files. This code is for the direct-sampling input of the receiver, which transmits real samples over USB3 at up to 130 MHz sample rate. rx2fits processes these samples to spectral intensities via a Fourier-transform poly-phase filter bank, which provides spectral resolution approaching the spectral bin width with good stop-band and adjacent-channel rejection. ...

    Sensitizer

    Sensitizer

A toolset to automate STOP analysis with Zemax OpticStudio

SENSITIZER is an ESO software toolset written in Matlab and Mathematica aiming at automating some Structural/Thermal/Optical Performance (STOP) sensitivity analyses with Zemax OpticStudio (ZOS). The core code of SENSITIZER runs in MATLAB and drives ZOS in the background through the ZOS-API interface, based on .NET. The output is saved in the MATLAB file format and can be post-processed using MATLAB and/or Mathematica routines. The optical system to analyze is defined in a normal Zemax lens file. The core data structure of SENSITIZER is an optical group, which can be any optical surface in the lens file or a set of subsequent surfaces. These groups will be perturbed by varying their positions relative to the rest of the system (rigid-body-motions) and/or by adding Zernike shape deformations on their front surface. ...

    stellarics

Inverse Compton emission from heliospheres of sun and stars

Cosmic ray electrons scatter on the photon fields around stars, including the sun, to create gamma rays by the inverse Compton effect. This program computes the spectrum and angular distribution of this emission. The software also includes general-purpose routines for inverse Compton scattering on a given electron spectrum, for example for interstellar or astrophysical source modelling. For further information see these publications: http://arxiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0607563,...

    TLELib

C++ library for very easy operating with TLE data sets and files.

The TLELib is the C++ library, which allows to read and write the TLE files very easy. It provides 2 main objects: tlelib::Node - object, operating with NORAD two lines elements data. It allows to parse the data from 2 or 3 lines and to output the data into strings in according to the TLE format. tlelib::Stream - stream, allowing to read the TLE data from some object of iostream type, and to write the data in TLE format into such object.

    gcr_convert

converts cosmic-ray files from GALPROP for viewing / plotting.

...This program converts to fv-compatible FITS files, either from 2D to (R,z) or from 3D to (x,z) at y=0 or (x,y) at z=0, in each case for a chosen cosmic-ray species. The third axis is momentum in each case. The distribution can be viewed with fv as a colour image, contoured, output to a file etc. The program is stand-alone and requires only the cfitsio library to be installed. Build instructions are in the program header. The FITS.cc/FITS.h class used provides simple convenient access to image data, useful also for other projects. For fv and cfitsio see http://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/fitsio
