Night Vision is a "planetarium" program written in Java
Night Vision is a "planetarium" program that will display the heavens from any location on earth. Viewing options allow the user to control which sky objects to display, which font to use, and manipulation of various star parameters. Time may be set to run at multiple speeds, including backwards. Star charts may be printed.
Night Vision is written in Java, allowing it to run on all major desktop systems (includes PCs, Macs, Linux, ...).
he JAVA library is designed to read JPL DE/LE ephemerides (DE200, DE405, DE406, DE421, DE422, DE430, DE431, DE440 and DE441) and to calculated the position and velocity of the Sun, Moon, eight major planets and Pluto, also the earth nutations and the lunar librations if they are part of the ephemeris.
Technological demo of OpenGL ES 2 for Android platform. It reads public NORAD satellite database and shows the satellite positions and altitude related to Earth in the form of beams (the height of the beam represents the relative altitude).
NOTE: The project has been moved to GitHub: https://github.com/nuald/glSatellite-Demo The old one stays here just for the historical reasons.
The 3D features present:
- OpenGL ES 2;
- rotating, multi-touch zooming and moving the globe;
- stars on a fixed background;
- each satellite is represented by a beam with a unique color;
- identifying the corresponding satellite if a beam has been tapped (based on color picking method).

AppSignal's MCP server hands Claude, Cursor, or Zed your real errors, traces, and the deploy that shipped them. AI writes the fix; you review the diff.
JAVA project represents the realization of modern astronomical algorithms related to the orbital movement of planets, satellites and small bodies in the solar system by solving Kepler's equation and additional astronomical and mathematical libraries
Generate star maps for anywhere at anytime. Choose from a database of thousands of deep sky objects, including all Messier, Caldwell, and NGC objects. Also allows recording of notes on viewed objects, and configuration of user-generated observation lists.
SPIDR (Space Physics Interactive Data Resource) is a distributed database and application server network, built to select, visualize and model historical space weather data. SPIDR is a web-application and a grid of data mining web-services.
GRad is a standalone solar radiation model, programmed in Java. It is capable of the calculation of potential (clear sky) and actual (real sky) irradiance and total irradiation for single and multiple geographical locations.
Note that, while fully functional, this application is currently not developed any further.
Mobile Planet Tracking, lets you track the position of any of the 8 planets in the Solar System, you can specify your current earth position, date and time to get the most approximated values.
Deploy in 115+ regions with the modern database for every enterprise.
MongoDB Atlas gives you the freedom to build and run modern applications anywhere—across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. With global availability in over 115 regions, Atlas lets you deploy close to your users, meet compliance needs, and scale with confidence across any geography.
MobileStarChart is a MIDP1.0/2.0 midlet for Java-enabled mobile/cell phones or handheld device. It simulates whole sky at any point on earth with constellations, stars up to 6 mag, solar systems and some other celestial objects.
JOrrery simulates the motion of planets moving under gravity.
It comes with a number of initial "scenarios" you can run, such as "The solar system", "Earth & Moon" etc. You can also add more planets during a simulation.
