rx2fits is an SDR code for the rx888mk2 direct-sampling receiver that streams spectral data with frequency up to 65 MHz to FITS files. This code is for the direct-sampling input of the receiver, which transmits real samples over USB3 at up to 130 MHz sample rate. rx2fits processes these samples to spectral intensities via a Fourier-transform poly-phase filter bank, which provides spectral resolution approaching the spectral bin width with good stop-band and adjacent-channel rejection. ... -

...It was used by the American Ephemeris and the Astronomical Almanac into the 1980's to compute the daily positions of the Sun. This Theory is a semi-analytic model which expresses quantities as a trigonometric series with numerical coefficients. This type of model produces a compact computer function which has enough accuracy to be useful to most users. My goal is to create a model using C which will reproduce exactly the results published in the Astronomical Almanac for the years 1981, 1982 and 1983. -

Welcome to the StarFiles Homepage! This application is designed to sort FITS star image files taken by professional astronomers at observatories. The application sorts the files by their image type: Bias, Dark, Flat, and Object. The Flat and Object images are sorted by filters U, B, V, R, and I. The application allows the user to create and save a profile of a given observatory's FITS header format, for future sorting use. This application also provides a header viewer for FITS image file.
