Linux-based DIY DCC (Model Railroad Digital Command Control) The project has morphed somewhat from its starting point. There's now a LOT of hardware bits, designed in CadSoft Eagle (V7, not the AutoDesk versions) and low-level code for PIC and ARM embedded micros. The Linux kernel driver for the original hardware is still there but increasingly redundant.

Assembles M6800 and 6801 assembly language source code. (and Forth)
A simple absolute mode assembler for 6800/6801. Handles the complete published set of opcodes/mnemonics. Mostly source-language compatible with the common assemblers in use circa 1985, but no macros. Now uses standard LDAA syntax by default. Produces basic S1/S9 object files and assembly listings, and now binary and MC-10 compatible cassette images. (This is for the 8-bit 6800, not the 16/32 bit 68000/coldfire processors.) -

SpecOS
A multi-threaded-style OS for the Spectrum +3
A multi-threaded-style OS for the Spectrum +3. Based on a kernel/userland model, it decouples the kernel implementation from the run-time system call mechanism, and provides for some POSIX-style functions. A file descriptors layer provides abstraction for easy file redirection. Userland processes are relocatable, and have no knowledge of the kernel or memory layout, leaving the flexibility to change the memory paging model without requiring a recompile of all userland programs. -

This project was moved to https://gitlab.c3sl.ufpr.br/roberto/cmips The code here is no longer up to date. The VHDL model mimics the pipeline design described in Patterson & Hennessy's book (Computer Organisation and Design) and is an almost complete implementation of the MIPS32r2 instruction set.
