This is a short simple boot-able program that animates some Lissajous figures. It can only run when the computer contains Bios, and when the computer is booted. The complete source code is here as an .asm file which can be compiled instantly with the Fasmw compiler. It has an interesting way of switching the computer into 64 bit Long mode. It actually switches the computer back and forth between 16 bit and 64 bit mode, easily, with an interesting technique. -

This project was started as an implementation of DOS for homebrew computers. Its design stresses simplicity, adaptability, and flexibility. The operating system is largely written in C, allowing it to more easily be ported to other targets. bsum is a tiny tool (256 bytes!) that computes the BSD checksum of any file. It requires only a few kilobytes of memory, and is fast even on an 8086-class PC. bsum supports files of any size (as long as your file system is able to handle them).
