We present TorchCraft, a library that enables deep learning research on Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games such as StarCraft: Brood War, by making it easier to control these games from a machine learning framework, here Torch. Brood War Easy Map is a C++ library that analyses Brood War's maps and provides relevant information such as areas, choke points and base locations. It is built on top of the BWAPI library. It first aims at simplifying the development of bots for Brood War, but can be used for any task requiring high level map information. It can be used as a replacement for the BWTA2 add-on, as it performs faster and shows better robustness while providing similar information.
