    pomegranate

    pomegranate

Fast, flexible and easy to use probabilistic modelling in Python

pomegranate is a library for probabilistic modeling defined by its modular implementation and treatment of all models as the probability distributions they are. The modular implementation allows one to easily drop normal distributions into a mixture model to create a Gaussian mixture model just as easily as dropping a gamma and a Poisson distribution into a mixture model to create a heterogeneous mixture. But that's not all! Because each model is treated as a probability distribution, Bayesian networks can be dropped into a mixture just as easily as a normal distribution, and hidden Markov models can be dropped into Bayes classifiers to make a classifier over sequences. ...

    Recurrent Interface Network (RIN)

    Recurrent Interface Network (RIN)

Implementation of Recurrent Interface Network (RIN)

Implementation of Recurrent Interface Network (RIN), for highly efficient generation of images and video without cascading networks, in Pytorch. The author unawaredly reinvented the induced set-attention block from the set transformers paper. They also combine this with the self-conditioning technique from the Bit Diffusion paper, specifically for the latents. The last ingredient seems to be a new noise function based around the sigmoid, which the author claims is better than cosine...

    Gamma

    Gamma

    Real time vector search engine

Gamma is the core vector search engine of Vearch. It is a high-performance, concurrent vector search engine, and supports real-time indexing vectors and scalars without lock. Differently from the general vector search engine, Gamma can store and index a document containing scalars and vectors, providing the ability to quickly index and provides the ability of quickly indexing and filter by numeric scalar fields.

    distribution-is-all-you-need

    distribution-is-all-you-need

The basic distribution probability Tutorial for Deep Learning Research

...It explains common discrete and continuous distributions through short scripts, formulas, descriptions, and plotted graphs. Covered topics include uniform, Bernoulli, binomial, categorical, multinomial, beta, Dirichlet, gamma, exponential, Gaussian, normal, chi-squared, and Student's t distributions. The material highlights relationships such as conjugate priors and special-case distributions. Examples connect probability functions with machine learning concepts including binary and multiclass cross-entropy. An overview image and presentation summarize the distribution families and their connections for quick reference.

    Exposure

    Exposure

Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL

...ACM Transactions on Graphics (presented at SIGGRAPH 2018) Exposure is originally designed for RAW photos, which assumes 12+ bit color depth and linear "RGB" color space (or whatever we get after demosaicing). jpg and png images typically have only 8-bit color depth (except 16-bit pngs) and the lack of information (dynamic range/activation resolution) may lead to suboptimal results such as posterization. Moreover, jpg and most pngs assume an sRGB color space, which contains a roughly 1/2.2 Gamma correction, making the data distribution different from training images (which are linear). Exposure is just a prototype (proof-of-concept) of our latest research, and there are definitely a lot of engineering efforts required to make it suitable for a real product.
