...Traditional image registration techniques typically rely on optimization procedures that must be executed separately for each pair of images, which can be computationally expensive and slow. VoxelMorph approaches the problem using neural networks that learn to predict deformation fields that transform one image so that it aligns with another. Once the model has been trained, it can rapidly compute the transformation required to register new image pairs, significantly reducing computational time compared to classical registration algorithms. The framework supports both supervised and unsupervised learning approaches and is commonly used in medical imaging applications such as MRI alignment, anatomical analysis, and longitudinal studies.

The VRN (Volumetric Regression Network) repository implements the “Large Pose 3D Face Reconstruction from a Single Image via Direct Volumetric CNN Regression” method. Instead of explicitly fitting a 3D model via landmark estimation and deformation, VRN treats the reconstruction task as volumetric segmentation: it learns a CNN to regress a 3D volume aligned to the input image, and then extracts a mesh via isosurface from that volume. The network is unguided (no 2D landmarks as intermediate). The mesh surfaces can be textured (in MATLAB branch) and colored. Docker container provided for easy CPU deployment.

clmtrackr is a javascript library for fitting facial models to faces in videos or images. It currently is an implementation of constrained local models fitted by regularized landmark mean-shift, as described in Jason M. Saragih's paper. clmtrackr tracks a face and outputs the coordinate positions of the face model as an array. SmartMap (C# cross-platform) is a procedural style world-map creation utility or "Desktop World." A simple scene manager is included using plugin style building blocks and object pathfinding. Also included is a 2D world editor with graphical features. SmartMap is currently built in conjunction with the Axiom 3D rendering engine.
